How to play Texas Hold'em

Blinds: Short for "blind bets," these are the forced bets made before the cards are dealt. In Hold'em, blinds replace the classic "ante." The player to the immediate left of the dealer posts the 'small blind', which is the first forced bet. The player to the immediate left of the small blind posts the "big blind", which is twice the amount of the small blind.

At this stage of the game, you are betting on what hand you believe your cards could lead you to. You have the option to play your hand by calling or raising the big blind. The action begins to the left of the big blind and is known as The Pre-Flop betting round.

It's a set of three cards that are dealt facing up, in the middle of the table. Every player can use these cards to build their hand. All cards in the middle of the table are also known as 'community cards'.
After seeing the three cards on the board, you can better estimate your hand. Now, a new round of betting begins.

After the betting on The Flop ends, the fourth card - also known as The Turn is introduced and another betting round begins. The round after that in which the fifth and last card is introduced, is called The River and that is the last betting round.

The last stage in the game is called The Showdown, in which all the remaining players’ (assuming there is more than one player left on the table) cards are turned over and shown. The player with the best hand takes the money from all the pots he or she participated in. All other pots are given to the player with the best hand out of all the remaining players around the table.

Tournaments:

Tournaments take place at a single table. Once the table is fully seated, the game begins.

The player pays an entry fee and receives a fixed amount of Gold. The game begins and continues until one player wins the tournament and takes the prize money.

A Sit & Go tournament is a single level tournament, where the winner takes the grand prize.

The Shootout tournament is built in a pyramid format and contains 3 different rounds. The winners of the 1st round compete against each other on the 2nd round and 2nd round winners compete against each other on the 3rd round – the final!

The winner of the final round takes the grand prize and receives a crown logo on his avatar for one week.
Think you're up to it? C'mon, give it your best shot!
